everything it is suppose to beMay 28, 2010 We purchased two different sizes of these grip bars. They are both terrific, and each provides a real sense of security for the older family members. They are very easy to use, move, store....for us, it has been money well spent.
Just what I needed!Dec 26, 2009 After studying the various suction grab bar devices available, I chose the Bridge Single Grip bcause of the size of the suction cups.
Applied to the side of my clean and dry fiberglass shower stall, it has given me the holding force I need to pull myself up from the shower seat. (I am partially paralyzed.) I have such complete confidence in this heavy well-made product that I'm recommending it to my cousin who also needs an aid of this type.
Most of the complaining reviews I've read appear to result from a lack of common sense and following of directions. The Single Grip is a great product at a reasonable price.

Doesn't work on anything but smooth surfacesJun 12, 2009 Did not work on my tile that has a little bit of texture. Only works on the smoothest of surfaces. Will have to return.
just the item for a shower after having a knee replacementMar 31, 2009 I had a knee replacement and there was some question regarding safety in the shower.
Prior to the surgury, I ordered the grab bar and installed it in our shower stall. The portability is what sold me. I did NOT want to drill holes in the shower stall and install a permanent grab bar. Also, the location of the bar was in question.
I had to wait ten days after the surgery before I could shower. The day of the first shower was pure pleasure. I hung on to the grab bar and let that warm water flow for a good ten minutes. The previous ten days, all I could have were sponge baths - often called a submarine douche. Very incomplete!!
I doubt that I could have stood less than a minute in the shower if I did not have the Bridge Medical grab bar.

Time upMar 13, 2009 I did much research on this type of item and found this to have the quality and safety features I was interested in. The only downside to this product is that it needs to be taken off the wall after each use. I left it adhered and within 24hrs it was on the floor of the shower. I thought it would be a more permanent fixture than that. I didn't read this on the product description, only on the insert of the product after purchase.
