Was not for meJul 14, 2010 I have a really hard time getting up in the morning, so I thought that maybe if I got something like this, I would wake up more easily since there was a lot of light in my room. That did not happen. It was still just as bad waking up in the morning as using my regualr $15 alarm clock, so I returned this. Way too much money for what you get. I didn't even like the operation of it as compared with a normal alarm clock.
Pluged it in and it worked for a second then went blank....Jun 18, 2010 Hello,
We have been saving to buy this clock for somme time. Desperatly need it. I was so excited when it arrived. But unfortunatly when I pluged it in it turned on for a second then went blank. I can not reveiw the clock its self as i have not had ther oppertunity to use it. I have tried to make contact with shop waves but no one has got back to me. such a shame. a big waste of precious money for me. : -(

a lot less SADFeb 03, 2010 Living in the midwest; winter months with their grey skies, short days, cold temperatures surely affect the overall mood for many and in others a Seasonal Affective Disorder. It was for this reason I decided to search out a light simulation alternative to help with the depression of winter. The BioBrite Sunrise Clock Radio was easy to use, easy to understand. What does not work for me is the radio. My intention was to use this clock radio in the winter months then switch back to my normal clock radio for the rest of the year. Since the radio cannot adequately pick up any my local radio stations, I am forced to keep both systems on my night stand. But that is the only negative. The light simuation sunrise has been amazing in alleviating the SAD symptoms. Immediately I noticed that I was less tired and groggy in the morning than before I began using the light. Now I do not feel like I am in a tunnel until almost noon. And I was surprised how much I have come to enjoy the evening dusk simulation. Normally falling asleep is not a real problem for me but I really do find the dusk simuation to be very relaxing once I turn in for the night. I would highly recommend this product to those who suffer from the winter blues. For me, I thought this would be the better alternative to daily light treatments and I am not disappointed. Improvements were immediate.

Don't like the included bulbFeb 03, 2010 Most of the reviews identify the pros and cons of this item, so I wanted to add a different note of something that I have found. The light bulb included is too yellow for me and generates too much heat for me. I just contacted them to find out if there is any other bulb that would work, and will be going to Lowe's to see if there's something else I could get. Other than this problem, I really like it. I think it's easy to set up and use, and even though I only wake up when the radio comes on, my eyes are already adjusted to the light, giving me one less challenge to get up in the morning =) Also makes it less likely I will go back to sleep if I wake up accidentally during the sun up process (which in a normal situation, I find I usually wake up from the alarm feeling much more tired than when I woke up previously, so rather just avoid the whole process, ha ha).

Works as expected - but too bright for night stand.Oct 09, 2009 This was a very nice light and I found that a setting of a 20 minute sunrise to be just right. Although I do recommend putting it in the corner of a room and maybe behind something else. It was entirely too bright for my nightstand. When it got up to full strength, I wanted to turn it off because I literally had light halo in my vision - even with my eyes closed. All in all though, a GREAT light for those suffering from a body clock conflicts during fall and winter.
